On Friday January 21, we will be hosting an assembly by the Chinese Acrobats. This assembly will be held at the Taekwondo studio. Please use the alley entrance. Our Holiday program will be on Friday December 17 at 6:00 pm at the American Heritage charter school auditorium. Students need to be there by 5:00pm. Please make sure your child is appropriately dressed and has eaten supper. The program will end aproximately at 7:00pm. To get to American Heritage Academy, turn east on Cherry St. off of Main and go to the end of the road. Please notify Patti if your child is unable to attend. Friday December 17 is also an early release day and the last day of school before the Winter Break. Students are not expected to return to school until Monday January 3, 2011.
On November 12th, the students welcomed some very extraordinary guests to our school. Wildlife Encounters from the Bureau of Lectures, brought animals from Australia for our students to see.
Time has flown by and updating our site has been knocked off our scheduled. So a quick update . . . We had a wonderful Fall Cultural Fair at the beginning of November. Some pictures are in the Verde Independent’s Photo Gallery if you would like to see what fun we had. Final tallies are not yet in for the amount of money we made but each teacher will have some funds provided to their classroom. The Book Fair is going on this week (Nov. 15 – 19) daily from 2:15 to 3:30 PM. The PJ Party will be Wednesday night from 5:30 to 7 PM. Children may come in P.J.’s for a story and snack. We are preparing daily for our Holiday Program on December 17th at 6 PM at American Heritage Charter School Auditorium. Please mark your calendar ALCS PTO will meet this Friday, September 10th at 4 PM in the Lunchroom. Please try to come and help us make plans for our fundraisers for this school year. Every little bit helps! Our 5th and 6th grade students had a suprise today when they meet their new teacher Mr. Smithson. A late change for our school when we found out that Mr. Dismond would not be able to take the position at this time. Mark your calendar, August 19th. We will have a meet and greet with the teachers in their classrooms and then sit down for a meal together. Classrooms will be open at 5 pm and food will be served at 6 pm. Please plan to bring food to share, a hot or cold dish will be great. Let’s start the year off right with a fun gathering to welcome new families and enjoy the company of old friends. |
